the lack of streaming options (Chromecast) is frustrating. I will pay for the service, but Im not buying a bunch of additional hardware just to use Amazon Video.

Good content, but without an Apple TV app, its an extra hoop to jump through that I just watch Netflix or HBO instead.

I love Amazon Prime! Super easy to use and great sound and picture! Definitely would recommend to anyone who just watches shows while waiting for someone or just like watching shows late at night like my self... If I could give this app 10 stars I would!

Last year, Amazon stopped selling Apple TVs because they didnt support Prime Video. The new one does, and Amazon is refusing to let their subscribers use the Apple TV as a native client. Ive long loved Amazons video products, and am a huge fan of Mozart in the Jungle and Transparent, but I wont be watching any Prime Video until they support tvOS. Im deleting the app until this happens, and wont be renewing Prime if they dont release the Apple TV app.

So far, Im happy with the app; however, it would be much better if I could watch some movies and shows on my TV using Apple TV. I also wish more current movies were available without having to buy or rent them.

Nice app! 10 second forward and backward skip is great! It reliably remembers where I am when I switch iPads. I wish there was an option to stop automatically starting the next show in a series. Sometimes its late and I know I just want to watch to the end and I fall asleep and Ive missed 3 episodes.

I love being able to use my phone or iPad to watch but I have a lot of problem with the audio getting out of sync with the video. After a few minutes of watching, theres a "pop" and the audio is off. Its annoying enough to make me stop watching.

Love this app, first used to watch Transparent, then Catastrophe, love no commercials. The quality of programming exceeds commercial tv, Im enjoying watching Amazon produced shows!

I have no trouble finding programs that I want to watch. There is a wide selection of movies and tv programs. The reviews are very helpful to me as well. Great app at an excellent value!

There is a lot of content here for all ages and it is easy to access across most platforms. The reason Im subtracting one star is simply because I think we can do a better job tailoring content.

If you expect me to use this app its time to support third-party services and devices like AirPlay and Chromecast. And you cannot buy/rent from the app?! Whos horrible idea was that? I want to give you money for a movie/show and I cant. Youve made it impossible from the app. This app is a great example of a terrible customer experience.

Only app I have that allows me to download content and watch later offline. Which is perfect since I work nights in a place without wifi.

Its been a year since tvOS opened up to developers, and still Amazon refuses to update this app for use on the AppleTV (i.e., the one screen on which it would actually be useful). Not sure what the politics driving this decision might be, but it comes across as utter indifference toward a huge number of Prime subscribers. Rent/buy your videos elsewhere.

Works perfect

Im a Prime Member, but also an Apple TV owner. The fact that Amazon hasnt prioritized making this app Apple TV compatible yet is very disappointing and feels less like an unfortunate, unintentional omission and more like a greedy corporate scheme. I hope Im wrong and its just the former, but regardless... Make it happen before I rethink my Prime membership, please. Thanks.

An Apple TV app is essential to any video service. AirPlay doesnt cut it. This app is garbage without it. Dont download it.

Its not enough that with my Amazon Prime membership you remove a huge amount of content from the Childrens video (like Sesame Street, bubble guppies, Dora, etc.) I am forced to buy for my children to watch. NOW I BUY the shows, and with the 4/27/2016 the screen dims while in huge letter the title pops on the screen as I fast forward and rewind ??? Then takes about 3 seconds to resume to normal viewing?????that is horrible?..thank you for making my autistic child freak out !!!

When will I be able to use my Comcast subscription for Showtime and Starz inside of Amazon instant video? I can do this on my Apple TV. Speaking of Apple TV...hmm? AirPlay works well, but I think people are unaware of how to use this feature. User story: As a xfinity subscriber I want to use the Amazon app for all video content so that I dont have to use ~5 different apps to watch movies and tv series. You still have the best fast forward and rewind controls of any video player app. Your years ahead of Netflix or HBO go... Dont change this UX for anyone. Helpful? Vote below!
