The video selection is "okay". But the video quality is highly questionable. On Amazon iPad app streaming quality versus usage options are Good 0.6GB/hr, Better 1.3GB/hr, and Best at 5.3GB/hr... yikes!
To compare Netflix is 0.3, 0.7, and 3GB for per hour.
Keep in mind that even the Better quality option on Amazon is terrible, with opening credits text being illegible and heavily pixelled. Only Best at 5.3GB is even watchable (still with artifacts) on Amazon on iPad, while 0.6GB/hr Netflix looks great on my 46 inch Sony TV. What kind of primitive compression is Amazon using?
That being said, I do applaud their arrival in Canada, giving cable cutters options.
